Graduates of this course will understand the mathematical concepts involved with orbital mechanics. For many students, this is a refresher of material from high school or college, while for others it may be entirely new. Whether new or familiar, having a foundation in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry will help students progress in their space careers by providing a better concept of how spacecraft orbit and maneuver. By the end of this course, students will have a basic understanding of the math required to conduct efficient orbital transfers and plane change calculations.
