This course introduces students to the evolution and application of battle management principles within the space domain. Building on historical foundations from air, land, and maritime warfare, the course explores how traditional command and control is evolving into dynamic space battle management. Students will examine key functions, required authorities, and the benefits of effective battle management in space operations. The course also addresses the challenges of managing operations across the vast and complex space domain, and explores the tension between centralized control and decentralized execution in high-tempo environments.
